A free DYONYSOS app for Odoo 19 Community, for an independent consulting firm or a freelancer. A complete foundation for data entry and business rules: this is not a time-limited or artificially restricted version, it is the part you fill in as you go, free for good.

The real problem. Independent consulting firms and freelancers track their time and invoice engagements using disconnected tools (time spreadsheet, Word quotations, manual invoicing), with no consolidated view of the actual profitability of each engagement.

Assignments. An assignment has a client, a billing method (time and materials or fixed price) and, for time and materials, an applicable rate chosen from a configurable rate grid. Assigned consultants are linked directly, and each assignment consolidates in real time its logged hours, its invoiced amount and its margin (time valued at internal cost against the amount actually invoiced — never VAT, always the amount excluding tax).

Time spent. Each consultant logs time per engagement, with a description and a status (draft, validated, invoiced). Logging time on a closed or cancelled engagement is impossible: the rule is enforced by a data constraint, not just by the interface.

Time and materials. Invoicing validated billable time takes one click, at the effective hourly rate from the rate grid applicable to the engagement.

Expense reports. Assignment expenses per consultant, rebillable or not, invoiced to the client according to the agreed terms.

A fixed-price engagement can be created in this free version (client, planned amount in the description): it is tracking by costed milestones with budget control — the tooling that goes with it — that belongs to the full version.

What the full version adds (a separate module that depends on this one, with no data lost on installation): milestone-based fixed-price tracking with its budget overrun check that cannot be silently bypassed, the profitability dashboard, PDF reports (business proposal, activity report) and the two automatic reminders. Important — what this version does not do (see the dedicated section of this listing and the README): no milestone-based fixed-price tracking or budget control, no dashboard, no PDF reports, no automatic reminders (see the full version); and, like the full version, no full project management (task scheduling, dependencies), no standard legal master agreement, no client portal beyond the standard Odoo portal, no market daily-rate calculation.
