MRP N4 — Advanced Technical Product Configurator (DYONYSOS)

The standard Odoo Community variant configurator can combine attributes, but it cannot express technical constraints between characteristics (exclusion, dependency, conditional bounds), nor calculated values (area, weight, cutting length…), nor automatically generate the resulting bill of materials and routing. This app fills that gap for configure-to-order manufactured products (cutting, metal fabrication, custom machining…).

It provides:

• a configuration template attached to a manufactured product: typed technical attributes (selection from a list, bounded number, checkbox, text);

• constraint rules evaluated at validation: exclusion, dependency / requirement, conditional bound — a rule that is not met blocks validation with an explicit message naming the rule concerned;

• values computed by formula (odoo.tools.safe_eval, restricted context, never native eval) from the other attributes;

• automatic generation, on validation, of a dedicated configured product, its bill of materials (components whose quantity can depend on the computed values) and its routing (operations selected according to the attributes), reusing the models from MRP N1 — Bills of Materials & Routings;

• the price calculation (MRP N1 cost price + markup);

• an entry point from a quotation line: configure, generate, and automatically fill in the line (product and price);

• reuse: an identical configuration already produced is found instead of being recreated.

Demo data: a custom-cut metal plate (material, dimensions, drilling, surface treatment).
