MRP L2 — Quality & Multi-Level Lot Traceability (Odoo Community)

MRP N2 — Shop Floor Quality & Traceability (DYONYSOS)

The Odoo Community Manufacturing app traces a lot very well step by step (move by move, with a click to expand each level), but it has no notion of a “quality control point” on a routing operation, and it never shows the complete components → subassemblies → finished product chain of a given lot at once. This app adds exactly those two missing pieces, without duplicating anything Odoo already does:

• Quality control points on routing operations: dimension to check, nominal value and tolerances, inspection method (visual, instrument, gauge, functional test, document check, statistical), inspection equipment, frequency (every part, first/last part, sampling, per lot, per shift), critical characteristic. Linked to the operation (mrp.routing.workcenter): if a versioned routing app (such as MRP N1 — Bills of Materials & Routings) creates a new version of an operation, each version keeps its own control points — never mixed across versions — because they are two separate records and Odoo's native copy duplicates the control points along with the operation.

• Inspection records: result (pass / fail / not applicable) entered or suggested automatically by comparison with the tolerance, linked to the manufacturing order, the work order and the inspected lot or serial number, with a time-stamped record reference.

• Multi-level lot genealogy: starting from a lot or serial number, a consolidated view displays all manufacturing levels at once — components, subassemblies, raw materials — without having to expand level by level. Reuses Odoo's native traceability engine (stock.move.line, MRP consumption links, stock.lot): no new table duplicates stock moves, only a consolidated read.

Demo data: a pneumatic cylinder (VP-100) with a lot-tracked subassembly, two chained manufacturing orders (a four-level genealogy chain) and a quality control point on the assembly operation.
