Overview
Google Analytics 4 — the purchase journey, not just the page view
Odoo 19 does place the gtag tag and Consent Mode v2. But it sends only one thing to Google Analytics: the page view. No product viewed, no add to cart, no order. The GA4 eCommerce reports — the funnel, revenue, the items that sell — therefore remain empty.

The six events recommended by Google, sent exactly as GA4 expects them: view_item, view_item_list, add_to_cart, remove_from_cart, begin_checkout and purchase, each with the currency, the value and the item details.
The price is the order price, not the displayed price. Values come from the base module's data layer, hence from the Odoo model: a discount, an included tax or a secondary currency all yield the correct amount. A tracker that reads the price from the page gets all three wrong.
Consent is respected, not bypassed. Until the visitor has accepted, nothing goes out; on acceptance, Consent Mode switches to granted and pending events are sent. Refusing still means refusing.
No duplicate purchases. An order is counted only once, even if the customer reloads the confirmation page or returns to it from their history. This is the most common flaw in eCommerce tracking, and it inflates measured revenue.
No outgoing calls from Odoo: everything runs from the visitor's browser. That is what allows this module to run on Odoo Online too.
What the module does not do
It does not add a consent banner: it reads Odoo's. It sends nothing to Meta or Google Ads. It does not replace Odoo's Google Analytics key; it builds on it.
