The rate depends on who is asking, not on a discount. The same hall is free for a local association, paid for a resident, and more expensive for a non-resident or a company. It is a grid voted by the municipal council: it is recorded per hall and per category, and the amount is filled in automatically on booking — editable by hand for a specific decision by the mayor.
Overlaps are refused between confirmed bookings. Two requests for the same Saturday are normal and remain allowed; two confirmations for the same slot are not. The message names the conflicting booking and its dates.
Capacity is the one set by the safety commission. A booking that declares a larger headcount is rejected, with the reason: in the event of an accident, it is the mayor's liability that is at stake, not the occupants' comfort.
The deposit does not get lost in people's memories. A rental cannot be closed if the deposit was received, has not been returned and no damage has been recorded. The message says what to do: return it, or check the damage box and describe it in the check-out inventory.
What the module does not do
No online booking by residents and no remote payment. No payment collection: the amount is recorded, its collection is handled by the municipality's revenue office (régie de recettes). No room layout plan or management of loaned equipment. No PDF use agreement.
Two roles
Front desk agent: requests, schedule, check-in/check-out inspections. Manager: booking confirmation, rate grid, deposits.
