Shopify to Odoo Migration — import products, variants, images, collections, customers and orders from a Shopify store into Odoo, with or without an app token. Shopify catalog migration, with no duplicates and with a rejection report.
Overview
Shopify to Odoo import
Leaving Shopify starts with getting your catalog back. This module does it with the mechanics of the shared base: never a duplicate if you rerun it, resumes where the import stopped, test mode, and a report stating what was rejected and why.
Also searched as: Shopify import Odoo, Shopify to Odoo migration, Shopify catalog migration, Shopify Odoo migration, Shopify product export.
Two paths, depending on what you can provide
Without an app token, the module reads the store's public storefront. It imports published products, their variants and their images without any app having to be created in Shopify. It is the shortest path, and the one the publisher has proven by real calls against actual stores.
With an app token, the module queries the Admin API and additionally imports collections, customers and orders — which no store exposes publicly, and fortunately so.
What was observed in practice
The public storefront responds without authentication, its pages are disjoint, and it refuses to serve beyond twenty-five thousand products. This limit is handled explicitly: the module stops cleanly and tells you to switch to the token, rather than letting you believe in an outage at the nineteen-thousandth product.
A shop behind a web application firewall may close its storefront to bots and answer “access denied”. The module tells this apart from an outage and points you to the token.
Identifiers are normalized
The Admin API returns identifiers in the form gid://shopify/Product/123, while the storefront returns 123. The module reduces them all to the integer. Without this, starting a migration without a token and then resuming it with one would recreate the catalog in duplicate.
What the module does not do
It does not synchronize continuously: it is a migration tool, not a sales connector. It writes nothing to Shopify. It requires the free base module dyo_import_boutique, which handles idempotency, resumption and the report.
