WooCommerce to Odoo Import — Catalog Migration

Two paths, depending on what you can provide

Without a key, the module reads the store's public “Store API”, the one that powers the website cart. It responds without authentication and returns published products, their variations and categories. This path has been proven by real calls against a live store.

With a REST key and secret, the module queries wc/v3 and additionally imports customers and orders.

The pricing trap, handled rather than ignored

The two APIs do not return prices the same way. wc/v3 returns "48.00". The Store API returns "4800" along with the currency's number of decimals. Copying that value as is would import a catalog a hundred times too expensive — and hard-coding a division by one hundred would be right in euros and wrong in yen. The module reads the number of decimals in each response, and one of its tests exists solely to prevent this error from coming back.

Variations are imported with their prices

The parent product lists only the IDs of its variations, without price or SKU. The module therefore requests each variation separately, because variations without prices are not worth importing. It consequently caps the number of products per page, so the migration does not turn into an avalanche of calls.

What the module does not do

It does not synchronize continuously: it is a migration tool, not a sales connector. It writes nothing to WooCommerce. It requires the free base module dyo_import_boutique, which handles idempotency, resumption and the report.
