DYONYSOS Wealth — Technical Foundation
Shared, free building block for Odoo 19 Community. It provides what would otherwise be rewritten in each industry variant (multi-disciplinary artist, local authority, holding company): the asset, its location, its movements, what it costs, what it earns and what it is worth.

An asset type, not a closed list. Real estate, land, vehicle, boat, musical instrument, work of art, furniture, equipment and machinery, jewelry and silverware, collection, right or license, animal, or other — the selected type displays the attributes that apply to it (area and cadastral reference for land, registration and roadworthiness test for a vehicle, maker and serial number for an instrument...), and a free-form characteristic line covers anything that fits no box.
The current location is not entered: it is derived from the latest movement. An item goes on deposit, on loan, on exhibition, into restoration, or is sold. Each movement has a departure date, a holder, an expected return date and an actual return date. An item cannot leave twice at the same time: an open movement prevents another one, naming the current holder and since when. A movement whose expected return date has passed without an actual return is overdue, and a daily scheduled action creates an activity for the person responsible for the item until the return is recorded.
Insurance is checked before any outbound movement. Insurer, policy number, expiration date: an expired date is flagged, and the module refuses an outbound movement of an asset whose insurance has expired, stating so explicitly — unless the requirement is explicitly waived for that specific asset.
What it costs, what it earns. Property tax, insurance, maintenance, caretaking, livery, subscription on one side; rent, royalties, rental, services on the other — each with its frequency. Annual cost, annual income and net yield are calculated automatically on the asset: the question every asset holder asks, “what costs me more than it earns?”, becomes a simple filter.
Value changes over time. A single value is wrong from the second year. An asset's current value is that of its latest dated valuation (purchase price, appraisal, estimate, insured value) — never entered directly, exactly as the current location is derived from the latest movement.
What the module does not do
No depreciation, no journal entries. This module tracks physical assets and their declared value — it does not compute a depreciation schedule and does not touch any account; that belongs to Accounting (and, for a formal depreciation schedule, to the Odoo Enterprise Assets module, which DYONYSOS does not republish). No automatic valuation: every valuation is entered by a person, with its source. No lease management or rent invoicing: rental income is recorded as an amount and a frequency, and invoicing it belongs to Accounting or Sales. No interface with an insurer and no electronic filing.
This technical base is not meant to be installed on its own for business use: it only adds value combined with an industry-specific module, for example “DYONYSOS Wealth — Multi-activity Artist” (dyo_patrimoine_artiste).
