Overview

Tobacconist and Newsagent (DYONYSOS)

The “money” extension of the free edition dyo_tabac_presse_lite. Regulated categories, press consignments and unsold copies come from the free module; this one adds everything related to money: lottery and gaming statements, cash register closing and the consolidated margin dashboard.

Important — what the app does, and what it does not do. No connection to tobacco suppliers' systems or to the Française des Jeux/PMU (no accessible third-party API): amounts are entered manually, as the tobacconist already does with the FDJ terminal. The gaming commission rate is set by national agreement and revised periodically: this module never hard-codes it; it is an editable parameter on the regulated category of the free module, with a snapshot kept on each statement at the time of its creation so history is never rewritten when the rate changes.

  • Gaming statement (dyo.tabac.jeux_releve): stakes collected per period (FDJ or PMU), calculated commission, amount to remit to the network, and cash variance between declared stakes and the actual till count.

  • Till closing (dyo.tabac.cloture_caisse): daily total by payment method (cash, card, check, other) and by regulated category (tobacco, press, lottery/gaming, stamps — the category comes from the regulated category set on the product, never from free-text entry). The difference between the two breakdowns is displayed as a control signal; the closing is locked once validated.

  • Consolidated margin report (wizard): margin by product family over a period, combining the press consignments and unsold returns from the free module, the gaming statements from this module, and — if tobacco or stamps go through Odoo invoicing (account.move) — the invoice lines linked to those categories.

  • Invoice lines (account.move.line) linked read-only to a regulated category, to feed the margin table.

Also searched as: tobacconist software Odoo, unsold press management Odoo Community, tobacco and press margin, FDJ PMU statement Odoo.

What the module does not do: no connection to tobacco supplier systems or to Française des Jeux/PMU; does not automatically calculate the tobacconist's discount rate or the gaming commission rate (set by agreement and revised periodically — manual entry by design); no dedicated touchscreen cash register (can be paired with Odoo Point of Sale if needed, not required); no management of revenue stamps; no in-app check of the customer's age (selling tobacco to minors is prohibited, but that check is outside the software's scope).

Demo data: two game statements and a cash register closing (the regulated categories and demo press deposits are provided by the free edition).
