Event Equipment Rental (free) — DYONYSOS
A free management app for event equipment rental businesses (tents, tableware, sound systems, furniture), for Odoo 19 Community. The complete operational foundation: the equipment base, bookings and their availability, deposits, condition reports and deliveries.

The real problem. An event equipment rental company manages its fleet and bookings in a spreadsheet, discovers availability conflicts at the last minute, and improvises the return condition report.
Availability — the core of the module. A booking can never push an item beyond its available quantity over a period that overlaps another confirmed or ongoing booking: this is a data-level check (@api.constrains), not a mere on-screen warning. Partial overlap, one period contained within another, adjacent boundaries (a return at the exact time of a new checkout does not count as a conflict) and partial quantities are all covered.
Equipment pool. Each item in the pool (tent, table, speaker...) has a total quantity and a status (available, under maintenance, out of service).
Bookings. Customer, period, item lines with quantity. Visual schedule in calendar view, color-coded by status, from draft to returned.
Deposit. Amount held on confirmation, refunded in full on return — a tracked amount, with no deduction calculation.
Condition reports. One checkout report and one return report per booking, with damage recorded and the associated amount.
Deliveries. Delivery and pickup slots per booking, with address and planned/done status.
A deliberate architectural choice. Odoo Community tracks a product's available quantity at the present moment (stock/product), not its availability over a future period that overlaps other bookings: that combinatorial calculation exists nowhere in Community. This module adds the missing period-based availability layer, without redeveloping an inventory system.
What the free edition does not do
No daily rate or link to an invoicing product on the equipment fleet, no calculated booking amount, no invoicing (rental or damage), no quantified deduction from the deposit, no dashboard, no PDF reports, no automatic reminders and no customer portal: see the full edition dyo_location_materiel, which installs on top of this one without asking for or re-entering anything.
And in neither edition: no integrated credit card pre-authorization for the deposit, no preventive maintenance beyond a simple status field, no logistics optimization of delivery rounds, no insurance or safety compliance verification of the rented equipment.
Demo data: an inventory of about a dozen items (tents, furniture, sound system, tableware), several customers, bookings at different stages (draft, confirmed, in progress, returned with damage, overdue), deposits held or returned, inspection reports and deliveries.
